Hello all, today is the day that I give you all the secret to the crown of curls I am currently donning on my head.
Last Tuesday night I decided to browse around on YouTube as I do so often and I came across a tutorial on how to use clips and tracks in place of a sew in. I'm sure this isn't new to tons of people but I myself, am not the biggest weave fan, so I had no clue. Being that this still allowed me the opportunity to wash my hair as I wanted I decided to give it try.
What you'll need:
1. Your hair of choice
2. Hair clips (depending on the size of your head I'd say on average about 25 to be safe)
3. Hair needle and thread
4. Scissors
What to do:
1. First, measure the tracks to about 7 or 8 places on your head starting at the back and working your way forward. (I fold in half to give a little more fullness) while doing this lay out in a sequential order.
2. Next, depending on the length of the track sew your clips to the two ends if short or the ends and center for longer pieces.
3. After completion of that step or before the process braid your hair as if you were about to get a sew in done making sure to leave enough leave out to cover the tracks and clips at the top of your head.
4. Insert the clips.
It's that simple you're done!!!
I have a wand that I use to curl my hair to make it blend with the weave and at night I just put my hair on flexi rods to keep it from reverting back to my fro.
I am going to include the link to the video below so you can visually see what I just described.

But it's extremely simple and I like that I can take them out if night if I chose, it allows e opportunity to have a protective style but one that I have control over. I like that.
