• How it all started.....

I was the girl who said NATURAL wasn't for me, it was something I would never do. But I stand here today with a head full of tight curls. My best friend made the natural conversion our freshman year in college while I continued to relax and color on top of relaxer and old color.....I'm sure we all know what happened. My hair was thin and short. Shortest it had been my entire life. November 2009 the week before homecoming I relaxed my hair and had the worst case of chemical burn....that was it for me. That day I proclaimed another relaxer would touch my head again. No big chop for me...wasn't needed all my relaxed hair fell out just minor end clips that I did on my own. My hair is so much fuller, thicker, and healthier. The "Nap"tural conversion might have been long and hard but I wouldn't change my decision at all. I mainly used twist outs and braid outs during my "growing out" period. Summertime in Nashville was dreadful however, so sew in's were my saving grace. Now I do wash and goes...my natural conversion was pretty much forced but I'd love to hear other conversion stories!!! So do share!!!!

  1. I am not natural (addicted to the creamy crack); however I have a daughter who I refuse to get hooked!!! If you know of any products for extremely dry hair, please share!!!
